BA Central Bible College
Ocki Haas joined Ozarks Technical Community College as the Chief Human Resources Officer on March 18, 2019. She comes to OTC from Evangel University in Springfield where she worked in human resources for 18 years—including 10 years as director.
Ms. Haas was a catalyst for establishing and developing a formalized Human Resource Department at Evangel. In 2013, she was part of the planning and implementation of human resources during the consolidation of three Assemblies of God colleges in Springfield: Evangel, Central Bible College, and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
Ms. Haas was born in a small village in South Korea and immigrated to the United States when she was a teenager. She learned English as a second language in high school in Mississippi. She attended Central Bible College in Springfield where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. Later, while working at Evangel, she earned a second bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. She also holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Baker Graduate College in Flint, Michigan.
Ms. Haas is recognized as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and she has held a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. She currently serves as the Membership Director for the Missouri SHRM State Council. She was also a long-time board member for the Springfield Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA).
Ms. Haas has four adult children and three grandchildren. She currently resides in Nixa.
