What do I need to do?

You will review, update, and add any new resource (budget) requests to the Three-Year Plans created during Year 1 of your Program/Department’s Integrated Planning Process. Additionally, Instructional Planning Units will review and affirm assessment plans, and complete the Assessment of Student Learning Annual Report.

What does the Annual Update consist of?

The Annual Updates will include the following elements:

  • New Resource RequestsNew budgetary items requested, including capital projects, technology requests, equipment requests, personnel, and one-time needs. These requests do not include items that can be funded by existing Operational Budgets, or by reallocating budgets within planning units.

For Instruction Planning Units Only:

  • Review and Affirmation of Assessment PlansAnnual review conducted by instructional Program Directors/Department Chairs of the assessment plans established for courses within their respective programs/departments.
  • Assessment of Student Learning Annual ReportAnnual report of assessment of student learning describing assessments conducted, findings, analysis of the results, and a description of how the results have been used to make improvements at the course, program, and/or institutional level.

When is my Annual Update due?

  • Your Annual Updates will be submitted to your Dean/Vice-Chancellor for final approval by December 1, 2024

For Instruction Planning Units Only:

  • Review and Affirmation of Assessment Plans will be completed during August Faculty Development Days
  • Assessment of Student Learning Annual Report is due January 2025

When and where should I begin?

  • A kick-off/training email will be sent in August 2024 that will provide detailed information to guide you through the process
  • You will want to start work on your Annual Updates as soon as possible in August
  • Your next step is to start with the “Complete Your Annual Update” tab to the left

How do I complete the Annual Update?

The steps to complete the Annual Update are:

  • Step 1 – Review and update your Three-Year Plans.
  • Step 2 – Add New Resource (Budget) Requests, if needed.
  • Step 3 – Add your Year 2 or Year 3 update.
  • Step 4 – Submit your Year 2 or Year 3 update for approval.
