Dr. Abigail Benz serves Ozarks Technical Community College as the executive vice chancellor for institutional and student success. In this role she oversees the student affairs division as well as rootEd Missouri, institutional research, strategic planning and grant development.

Dr. Benz began her career at OTC in 2011. Prior to her role as executive vice chancellor, she served the college in several capacities, including the chief strategy officer, institutional research, departmental annual planning and grant writing.

Throughout her career, Dr. Benz has focused her work on addressing the holistic needs of students. She has worked to create accessible systems and supports to reduce students’ barriers to educational success, both inside and outside the classroom.

Dr. Benz has worked in higher education for over 10 years and holds a doctorate in institutional leadership with an emphasis in higher education from Lindenwood University. She also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban planning from Missouri State University.
