Dr. Abigail Benz is the chief strategy officer for the Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) system located in Springfield, Missouri. In this role, Dr. Benz guides the college’s strategic planning process and implementation. In addition to overseeing the college’s Grant Development Office, Dr. Benz spearheads the implementation of high-priority projects for the institution.

Dr. Benz began her career at OTC in 2011. Prior to her role as chief strategy officer, she served the college in a number of capacities, including institutional research, departmental annual planning and grant writing.

Throughout her career, Dr. Benz has focused her work on addressing holistic needs of students. Creating accessible systems and supports to reduce students’ barriers to educational success, both inside and outside of the classroom, is Dr. Benz’s primary focus.

Dr. Benz has worked in higher education for more than 10 years and holds a Doctorate of Instructional Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from Lindenwood University. She also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban planning from Missouri State University.
