Associate Vice Chancellor

Dr. Gutirrez serves as associate vice chancellor for student affairs. In this role, he oversees recruitment, admissions, the registrar, financial aid, advising and student success.
Dr. Gutirrez has worked for OTC since he was a student at the college, assisting the advising team as a work-study employee. Before serving as associate vice chancellor, he held the position of assistant vice chancellor for administrative services. In this position, he assisted with campus operations, auxiliary services, legal issues, insurance policies and construction projects. Before that, he served as director of recruitment and student services, overseeing the college’s recruitment efforts and front-facing student support services including the front desk, call center and student ambassadors.
Other positions Dr. Gutirrez has held at the college include admissions representative, student services representative and call center representative. In each of these positions, he showed his dedication to student success by providing exemplary service and meeting a wide range of student needs. He also teaches at OTC as an adjunct instructor.
Dr. Gutirrez earned his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2023. Prior to that, he earned Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in General Business degrees from Missouri State University. He also earned an Associate of Arts from Ozarks Technical Community College.
Dr. Gutirrez is a dedicated community leader, serving on the Board for the Ozarks Trails Boy Scout Council.
