Dr. Gutirrez serves Ozarks Technical Community College as the vice chancellor for student affairs. In this role, Dr. Gutirrez provides leadership as it relates to issues of enrollment management and student development.
Dr. Gutirrez has worked for OTC since he was a student at the college, assisting the advising team as a work-study employee. Before becoming the vice chancellor, he served the college in several roles including associate vice chancellor for student affairs, assistant vice chancellor of administrative services and director of recruitment and student services.
Other positions Dr. Gutirrez has held at the college include admissions representative, student services representative and call center representative. In each of these positions, he showed his dedication to student success by providing exemplary service and meeting a wide range of student needs. He also teaches at OTC as an adjunct instructor.
Dr. Gutirrez earned his doctorate in education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2023. Prior to that, he earned a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s in general business from Missouri State University. He also earned an associate degree from Ozarks Technical Community College.
Dr. Gutirrez is a dedicated community leader, serving on the board for the Ozarks Trails Boy Scout Council and the Community Partnership of the Ozarks Young Professional Advisory Council.
