Dr. Aaron Light serves as the Provost at Ozarks Technical Community College, bringing over two decades of experience in higher education and academic leadership. Prior to this role, he served as Dean of Health Sciences, where he led a division and helped expand programs, enrollment, and industry partnerships across multiple campuses. Additionally, he has served as a Program Director and Director of Clinical Education at Ozarks Tech. Dr. Light has served as an adjunct instructor at Northeastern University, University of Kansas, and University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Dr. Light is deeply committed to Ozarks Tech’s mission of changing lives and strengthening the community through education. He is passionate about helping students achieve their academic and career goals by championing accessible, affordable, and high-quality learning opportunities. His student-centered leadership approach ensures that every initiative from curriculum development to program expansion is focused on empowering learners and supporting their long-term success. Additionally, he is focused on advancing faculty and leadership development to strengthen academic excellence and support institutional progress.
Dr. Light holds a Doctorate of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science in Respiratory Care Leadership from Northeastern University, bachelor’s degrees in Management and Respiratory Therapy from Missouri State, and an Associates of Applied Science in Respiratory Care from Ozarks Tech.
